Cornell alum Michelle Bamberger has written a Coalition letter to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cornell University, Peter Meinig. She writes, “This might really help get the word out, and would help make more people aware of the drilling issues we face in our part of the state.” Read her letter, and sign on in solidarity!

Unlike PA, NYS has no single URL that displays this data. Without these instructions there is no other way to access and to stay informed on status of individual gas wells. An example of the DEC data is shown at the top of the PDF. The file has just been revised to include a live clickable link to the DEC’s site to avoid manually typing the long URL. Thanks to Bo for this useful tool. Congressman Hinchey and Congressman Arcuri need to be STRONGLY URGED to take a leadership role in helping to protect the safety and welfare of their constituents. They should follow the lead of Congressman Eric Massa, New York City Council Member James Gennaro and State Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton and sign the letter to withdraw the dSGEIS. Our elected representatives need to speak for the people– the majority of us New York State voters have ABSOLUTELY NO VOICE as to the industrialization of NYS to unconventional gas drilling.
