As America searches for cleaner cheaper sources of energy& a new study by Common Cause shows that the natural gas industry has spent 750 million to convince Congress that a controversial new drilling technique known as fracking should be exempt by the Safe Drinking Water Act. This exemption was originally created by Dick Cheney in 2005 and persists despite growing evidence about the extent to which fracking can pollute our water supply.
